What Makes Walnut Ridge Outstanding

Walnut Ridge is located in an urban setting within the far east section of Columbus. Columbus is the state capital as well as the corporate headquarters for several large insurance and specialty companies. The Ohio State University is also located in Columbus.

Walnut Ridge is a four-year comprehensive high school with an enrollment of 800. It is accredited by the Department of Education of the State of Ohio. It is an integrated public high school with student representation from 27 countries. The Columbus City Schools system is one of the most outstanding urban school systems in the United States.

Walnut Ridge's class of 2020 has senior success rates of 90% earning $1.8 million in scholarships. More than 60% of our graduates plan to attend a two or four-year university.

The high school staff is composed of 40 teachers with more than 50% having a Master's degree or advanced professional degrees.
